Consultant-led publication support with realistic guidance

These are the working rules we apply to every enquiry, written out so you can judge them before you contact us.

How we work

• We read before we recommend. We look at your title, abstract and manuscript first, so advice is based on your paper and not on a template.
• We say what we think is realistic, including when a paper needs more work than your deadline allows.
• Scope and price are agreed in writing before work starts, and we tell you before doing anything beyond what was agreed.
• You make the decisions. We suggest and explain our reasons; you choose the journal, accept or reject edits, and remain responsible for the content, data and conclusions.
• Manuscripts, abstracts and personal details are treated as confidential.

Our ethics policy

• No guarantees. Acceptance, indexing, quartile, citations and publication dates are decided by editors, reviewers and index providers, not by us or by any fee.
• No paper mills. We do not sell, supply or place ready-made papers, and we do not work with services that do.
• No authorship selling. We do not sell authorship positions or add or remove authors for payment. Authorship belongs to those who made the intellectual contribution, under the journal’s policy and widely used criteria such as those of the ICMJE.
• No fabricated data. We never invent, alter or “improve” data, results, images or references. If something in a manuscript looks wrong, we raise it with the author.
• Verification on official sources. We check a journal’s indexing and policies on the official Scopus Sources list, the Web of Science Master Journal List, the NLM Catalog for PubMed and the journal’s own site, not on social graphics or sales emails. Indexing can change, so check again before you submit.
• Disclosure. Where a journal asks authors to acknowledge language or writing support, we encourage you to do so.

• Institutions and research groups that want consistent, ethical preparation support for their authors
• It is not for anyone who wants to buy acceptance, indexing, citations or authorship. We decline those requests.

Where our help stops

We are a consultancy, not an editorial board. A well-prepared paper can still be rejected, and a journal’s decision depends on its editors, its reviewers and its current priorities, which we cannot see.
