These book publishing services are for authors based in the UK who have written an academic or professional book, such as a monograph built on research, a practitioner handbook, a training text or a book drawn from years of professional practice. Publish With Scopus is an independent UK consultancy. We are not affiliated with Scopus or Elsevier, and we do not guarantee sales, reviews or indexing of any kind.

An honest note on Scopus and self-published books

Scopus indexes publishers and book series that pass its selection process. It does not index individual self-published books on request. Publishing your book through one of the packages below gives you a professionally produced book with an ISBN, but it does not make that book Scopus-indexed. If Scopus indexing of a book matters for your career, the realistic route is usually an established academic press or a book series that is already covered, and that is a different kind of project from self-publishing. Prices assume a manuscript of up to about 75,000 words of text. Longer manuscripts are priced per 1,000 words above that length, and we confirm the full price in writing before any work begins.

This suits an author whose text needs closer editing and who wants either printed copies in hand or help bringing the book to readers.

Why we publish our prices

Some companies that sell publishing to authors give no price until a contract arrives. We think authors should be able to compare costs before they commit, so the package prices are on this page. You keep the decisions about your content, and any change to scope or price is agreed with you in writing first.

Who this suits

This support suits UK-based lecturers, researchers, clinicians, consultants and other professionals who want a well-produced book for teaching, practice or professional standing, and who understand that a self-published book is not the same as a book from an indexed academic press. If your main goal is a journal article rather than a book, our Scopus publication support page is a better starting point.

What we will not do

We will not tell you that a self-published book will be indexed in Scopus or any other database, promise sales figures, or invent reviews or endorsements. We will not publish work that is not yours to publish. If a package does not fit your book, we will say so.

What to send us

Send the manuscript or a sample chapter, an approximate word count, a short description of the book and its readers, whether it contains images or tables, and any deadline. We reply with the package we think fits and a written quote before work begins.
