Research publication support in the USA

US faculty, clinicians, and PhD researchers often need publication support that fits tenure, promotion, and training-programme expectations: clear contribution, appropriate venue, and clean revisions, without shortcuts that create integrity problems later.

Publish With Scopus offers journal publication services in the USA for US-affiliated authors, delivered remotely through our UK-registered London office. We help with manuscript preparation, journal shortlisting (Scopus- and WoS-aware when relevant), submission guidance, and reviewer-response support. We do not claim a US branch office. We do not guarantee acceptance.

American research moves through a large and varied system of state universities, private universities, academic medical centres and national laboratories. This page deals with the national picture; our city pages cover individual places. Federal funders set conditions that reach the manuscript. If your work is supported by the NIH, public access requirements apply to resulting peer-reviewed articles, and the National Science Foundation has its own public access arrangements for research it funds. A journal that cannot support those routes, or charges a fee that your grant does not allow, is a poor fit however well it matches your topic. We check these conditions at the shortlisting stage and tell you where the answer is uncertain.

Preprints are widely used in the United States, in physics and computer science through arXiv and in biomedicine through bioRxiv and medRxiv, and many journals allow posting before submission. Policies vary, particularly on whether the preprint may be updated after acceptance and on what version may be shared. Always read the target journal’s preprint policy before posting, and mention an existing preprint in your cover letter. We do not post or manage preprints for you, but we flag policy conflicts on the journal shortlist.

Tenure-track faculty, postdoctoral fellows and clinical trainees face a common problem from different sides: many unfinished papers and little protected time. Where several drafts compete, we usually recommend finishing the paper with the cleanest data and the clearest target journal first, then using what it taught you on the next. Our service is a practical, written plan for the next stage, whether editing, restructuring or choosing a journal. It is not a promise that any paper will be accepted.

US context we plan around

  • Tenure-track and clinical faculty CVs where venue fit and integrity are scrutinised
  • Residents, fellows, and PhD students under time pressure who still need ethical routes
  • Confusion between legitimate open-access APCs and predatory invitations
  • International co-authorship: English clarity and journal scope still decide outcomes
  • Tenure-track faculty and postdoctoral fellows managing several unfinished manuscripts alongside teaching, grants and lab duties
  • Authors with NIH or other federal funding who need to confirm a journal’s public access route before submission

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you have a US office?

No. UK-registered, London office; remote collaboration with US-based authors.

Can you target Scopus or WoS for a US CV?

We can shortlist to your constraint; acceptance is never guaranteed.

Do you help with PubMed-oriented clinical manuscripts?

Yes, as preparation and route support where suitable, still no acceptance promises.

Is payment for acceptance allowed?

We do not support pay-to-pass or fake peer review.

How do I reach you from the United States?

Email info@publishwithscopus.com, call +44 330 001 1136, or message us on WhatsApp.

Can I post my manuscript as a preprint before submitting?

Many journals allow it, but not all, and the terms differ on versions and updates. Read the journal’s preprint policy first, and mention the preprint in your cover letter. We can note policy conflicts when we compare journals.

Which spelling and style do you use for US journals?

We edit in American English for journals that use it and apply the reference style and structure in the author guidelines. If a journal does not state a preference, tell us which you want and we will keep it consistent throughout.

FAQ

Important answers

Do you guarantee acceptance or Scopus indexing?

No. Publish With Scopus does not guarantee acceptance, indexing, quartile, or impact outcomes. Journals and indexes make those decisions. We support manuscript readiness, journal selection, submission preparation, and reviewer-response work under ethical standards.

Are you a journal or publisher?

No. We are a UK-registered consultancy (London office). We are not a journal, not a publisher, and we do not control editorial boards or peer review.

Who is this for?

Professors, doctors/clinician-researchers, and PhD researchers who want practical help preparing and routing a manuscript, including Scopus- or WoS-aware planning where that is a real requirement, without predatory or guarantee-based shortcuts.

How do you verify journals / indexing claims?

We treat indexing as something to verify on official sources (for example Scopus Sources for Scopus claims, and the relevant official resources for Web of Science claims), plus the publisher’s own aims-and-scope and APC pages. Unofficial social graphics are not verification. Authors should re-check official sources before submission.
